  • Searching for files

    Hi

We are trying to make an installer for Photoshop plug-ins. Up to now we have been searching for plug-ins which exist already in fixed drives, this seems to work quite well; the first(?)place where they are found is made the default install directory.
There is one directory however(..\Adobe Photoshop Only) where the plug-ins should not be installed and sometimes plug-ins are found here first. Is it possible to exclude this directory from the search path ? we would also like to use wildcards in the priority path, is this possible?

    Thanks for any advice.

    Re: Searching for files

    Hi,
Sorry but it is not possible to exclude certain paths from a File Search. What you might try doing is using the priority search paths, try listing as many priority paths as you can, I.E. all the paths where the *.8bf files can usually be found.
No, you cannot use wildcards in your priority search paths. What sort of wildcards did you want to use in the Priority Search Path?
