Setup a project to install files from a CD. However when they install they retain their read only attribute created by being on the CD.
Is the only way to do this to run ATTRIB -R etc as part of an EXECUTE AFTER INSTALLING option or have I missed something.
If the only way, can I make it a suggestion that this is allowed for in a future release?
TIA
John
LATER::: Found the ADVANCED TAB ATTRIBUTES option. RTFM but bit ambiguious. Says files will retain attributes of original. Assumed that this means original file at time of SETUP being built i.e. on hard disk but now wonder if means original as they exist on CDROM. Now trying out - unless you hear from me assume now OK.

YES, that worked OK. Something to remember for later and perhaps make the manual clearer which files are being referred to.
