    suf6 -- 2 q's

    1) Can you change the initial splash screen from "setup factory" to something else (or hide it?)

    2) I created a project, and if I click "custom" and then "next" and decide I really want a non-custom install; so I click back, I check "standard" (or whatever) and then click "next" it acts as if "custom" is still selected. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

    Scratch #2, it appears to be a problem with converted projects & it's gone away now that I changed the names of the install types.

      There is no way to change the initializing screen image. Aren't you happy to spread the word about how great Setup Factory is to others?

        Brett, yes we're happy to tell everyone we use SetupFactory, but I know my clients will get confused seeing the name of another company when launching a setup for a product they downloaded from our web site.

          Yes; I agree. I tell *everyone* to use SUF... I just don't need to explain it to my clients that that splash screen is "normal" -- you deal with developers who don't care about splash screens... we deal with customers who do.

              Yesterday we released a beta of a setup created with SF6 so users could test its new features and we have gotten all sorts of feedback regarding that splash screen... one of the users who decided to try the new setup told us that he didn't know that we made applications to build setups!

              He thought SetupFactory was a product we made!

              Other simply commented that we shouldn’t be promoting other companies...

              Out of 33, 17 users sent us some comment regarding that initial splash screen.

              Any plans on letting us customize this?

              (Using a PE-editor is not a nice solution to remove that splash screen)

                Please see my comments in the other "Splash Screen" thread. We will look at this issue again.
