Parse path - Drive and Folder - UNC

If I use the Parse path - Drive and folder command on a UNC path I get a wrong result. For instance \\ROEL\PUBLIC\KMO.KMO gives ROEL\PUBLIC. The two backslashes are gone. In my opinion the result should be \\ROEL\PUBLIC.
Is my opinion correct?
