You could try the "exit" command.

        Hi,

If you are using Setup Factory 6.0 you could try using the Close Program action.

Also I believe Lorne meant using the "Exit" command within your BAT file, incase there was any misunderstanding.

If you have Windows 9X, then try to look at the properties of MS-DOS Prompt.
There is an option "Close on exit" in the Program tab.

              Here is a nice solution:

              >@cls
              >exit
              >
              >As long as the window is blank when the EXIT is hit it will exit

              It works!

                Re: Leaving *.bat file window

I noticed a free program called Batch File Compiler on ZDNet last night that compiles batch files into executables suitable for running from setup programs. The URL is:
                http://bdargo.dns2go.com

I haven't tried it but perhaps it would help some of you. Let us know how it works.

                  Re: Leaving *.bat file window

no need for any external programs, create a PIF shortcut & edit the properties on it so it closes on exit, done. remember to edit the location of batch file to reflect the source drive , i usually keep th ePIF & .bat in the same directory & hide the batch file, & in the properties I use .\filename.bat & directory is .

if you still want to go with batch to EXE conversion, use bat2exe, it is much smaller than the one above & does the same.
