  • Installing .reg files ???

P&D Wizard installed my .reg files automatically. SF 6.0 copies the file onto the deployment machine's hard drive, but I have to click on it with the mouse after installation for it to "install".

I can not find anything in the SF 6.0 Manual that explains how to handle these files.

    Any help???
    Thanks

    Re: Installing .reg files ???

What you could do is install the file, then use an OPEN DOCUMENT action to run your registry file, however you will get the confirmation message that is generated in Windows when this method is used.

However you could instead launch regedit.exe and pass in the command line argument to run this silently.

Therefore you would have something like:

File to execute: %WinDir%\regedit.exe (the path to the file regedit.exe)
Command line argument: /S %AppDir%\myfile.reg (the command line argument and the path to the reg file)

    Hope this helps

      Daryl,
I will try this and see what happens.
I like the "Silent" install method.

      Thanks,
