  • Changing Start menu Icon

I'm using SF 6.0.4, and I want to change the standard default Start Menu Folder Icon (not the program icons) to an icon of my choosing. I don't see a way of doing that. If it requires a registry change, could someone help? Thanks. Steve

    Re: Changing Start menu Icon

Do you want to change the default icon for all folders, or just for one specific folder?

The former is possible with a Registry change, I think, but make sure you know that the user wants you to make such a drastic change to their system, first.

The latter should be possible in XP, since all the folders have different icons by default anyway...but I'm not sure about Win9x/ME/2k.

This one's gonna take some googl'in for sure.

It was for XP only and for only one folder...the product I'm installing.
