  • DOS Shortcut Properties

When installing a DOS executable, is there some way to create a shortcut to that program, and also adjust the shortcut memory tab settings? These options don't appear on the Shortcut tab in SUF, but is there another way to get at them? I believe that in Windows NT/2000/XP the default settings come from _default.pif, but once you create a shortcut and set them, they are saved in the shortcut or in some deeply buried .pif file that goes with that shortcut. Does anyone know how to manipulate these settings during setup?

The goal is to create a shortcut to the DOS executable, and set all of the setting on the shortcut memory tab to Auto, except for EMS. That one needs to be set to None.

    Thanks in advance.
