  • Win2k does not open my project created on NT

    Hi:

I just upgraded from a NT4 computer to a new computer running Win2k professional. I have been using SF5.0. I have a project that was created on the NT4 machine. Now when I tried to open this project on the new win2k machine with SF5.0, I got a message which says "Unrecognized project file version". Do I need to upgrade SF for the win2k system on my new computer? Or did I miss anything? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Re: Win2k does not open my project created on NT

There should be no difference in the project file that is generated between the two operating systems, so the compatibility is the same. There are two possible causes that I can think of. The first is that the project file itself has become corrupt. The second is that it was created with the initial release of Setup Factory 5.0, 5.0.0.0. The file format changed between 5.0.0.0 and 5.0.0.1. There is a converter for that if needed. Email [email protected] and we can send it to you to try. Make sure you update your software to the last build 5.0.1.6 as well.
