Re: How to hide a Password

    Lorne,
Well... it has been added to the Verify Serial Number screen in 6.0.1.2, but not the general edit-box screens.

Until it gets into the "edit-box" screen, if you want to hide a "general" password which it isn't possible to put into a "Serial Number" list, you can modify a copy of the Verify S/N screen and leave the "Serial number must be in list:" blank. SUF will warn you that this makes "Anything Valid" but that's ok, we aren't using the built-in validation routines anyway... just the "password hiding" feature.

Be forewarned, if you have a "Serial Number" list that you are using elsewhere in the package, each time you modify this "Password" screen, it will reset the list to this one by default, so you'll have to clear it each time you change the screen.

It's a workaround, but until the edit-box screen has the "hiding" capability, it will suffice.

    Hi,

Currently this is not possible in the version of Setup Factory 6.0 that you have, but we are planning on releasing another update to Setup Factory 6.0 that will contain this feature.

Keep reading the forums; information on the next update will be posted here when it becomes available.

    mark.
