version of file on user's pc

Is it possible to find the version of an existing file that's on the user's pc ? There are some particular circumstances where I need to overwrite a later version with an earlier one and I'd like to detect this at install time.

Sure, it's easy to do. Just use the File Information > Search for File action. If you need more explanation of this action, please see the help file.
