On the Edit Box Screen, if the text box is of a folder type, and the user manually enters a folder that doesnt exist, there should be some way of validating that, and prompting the user to either change it or create a new folder like most setup programs do.. i dont see that anywhere..

Normally the folder selection is performed on the "Select Install Folder" screen which was designed for that purpose. However what you could do to ensure that the folder is a valid folder is to disable the edit box field which will force the user to browse for a folder. That would be the best option in that situation.

You can check the existence of the folder in the "After" actions tab of the screen and then set %PreventNextPage% variable if the directory doesn't exist.
