The action FILE INFORMATION > SEARCH FOR FILE can help you locate a file(s) which you don't know the location of.

The action FILE OPERATION > DELETE FILE(S) can delete files once you know where they are.

Hmmm, OK. What's the problem? The more details the better. Are you able to get ANY actions working?

Yes, all the others do work fine.
This is eccecly what i want to make:

search for files in the %Appadir% (it is more than one file, i hope it is possible to to them do them all at the same time.)

Than the founded results must be deleted (not all the files are the same by each user, some do have less then 15)

More detail?

So what's the problem you are having with using those specific actions? How best can I assist you in learning to use them successfully?

Re: Searching files, delete found result

Results are returned as a tab delimited string, i.e. c:\windows\desktop\1.mp3;c:\windows\desktop\2.mp3; c:\windows\desktop\3.mp3;c:\windows\desktop\4.mp3;

etc...

Are you having a problem understanding the tab delimted string results or are you getting no results at all? If you are getting no results you are likely setting up your filename or path options wrong...

TIP - To search for all files place *.* in the filename field.

Either way please read the section in the help file dedicated to this and the let me know if I can help you to understand that info better.

Re: Searching files, delete found result

You cannot search for multiple files using one action. You will need one action for each file you are searching for which will return a string delimited list of paths where that file was found on the target system. If you know that certain files will be located together, you could search for one and use that path in the search path for others to speed up the process.

Hope that helps.
