Thanks... but gdiplus isn't platform specific.. in fact, the gdiplus I"m using works on xp, nt, 2k, me.. so i don't think that's teh problem with 98se...

Good idea... we went thru all the dll's we install...

It could be that the gdiplus.dll (or another DLL) is platform specific, meaning that if you try to install your copy (assuming is was the Win9x/ME version) on an NT variant (NT, 2000, XP) it would be blocked by the OS, or give a memory exception error. I used to see this with versions of OLE system files. Just a thought...

    .MSI modules & vfp8

I'm having a problem, that I just can't figure out...
I'm installing a vfp8 app; installing all the required runtime (I think) I've used ORCA to look at the MSI modules, and I'm installing them.
However, the installer works fine on all win platforms, but the app will not run, telling me the runtime is invalid. The downer tot his is it does work on a fresh install of ME...

    Anyone have any ideas?

    for win9x, ME I install the vfp8r.dl vfp8t.dll gdiplus.dll and vfp8help files to %sysdir% for everything else, I install to %commonfiles%\microsoft shared\vfp

    thanks
