I would like to know if there is anyway that Setup Factoy can pull proxy settings from Netscape or Internet Explorer?

There's no automatic method in Setup Factory 6.0 that will do this for you, so you're restricted to it's action set or prompting the end user for this information. I don't know too much about those settings, however you may try looking in the Registry, in the following location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings
Others may have more knowledge of where this is stored etc. -

I have an actions export that you can import into your actions screen to get and parse the proxy server and port from the registry. Its only a 1K download...

i noticed it only checks for Internet Explorer settings, but what if the user uses a different browser, such as Netscape Navigator or Mozilla? do you know the registry entries for those browsers?Comment
