  • How to: Make Desktop Shortcut for All Users?

    Hi,
How to: Make Desktop Shortcut for All Users?

Do I have to install Shortcut.exe first, then execute it using Shell Operations?

I'd rather just check a checkbox, if possible.

    Thanks.

One method you could use is using a Create Shortcut action and use the built-in variable %DeskTopNT% as the destination. The built-in variable is defined as follows:

    %DeskTopNT%
The path to the user's Desktop directory. On Windows NT, this is the path from the All Users profile.

In the uninstall, you would then use a Remove Shortcut action to remove it.
