exe appears to crash

If this is the wrong forum, I apologise. I have used SF5 for about 2 years. One of our products has been deployed using Sf5 without a problem till now. On a new Thinkpad notbook the first screen appears briefly and then the install closes. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a known cause for this problem?

This sounds like the user has an incompatible version of Riched32.dll on their system which is causing the problem.

Have this user check into this particular file on their system to ensure they have the correct version. You can find information about this file at the following URLs:

I don't know if you are distributing this file or not, but if you are, make sure you are distributing the right version for each operating system as well.
