Are there any plans to update the version of SQLite in the next version of AMS? That is one of the reasons I have been holding off on buying AMS.

I've been busy working on a couple issues with the installer last week and expect to have an update out some time this week.

stickck - I haven't been able to replicate the problem with the project explorer pane, and to my knowledge, it hasn't been entered in our bug tracking system.

Dermot - Your combobox issue will be submitted from another thread to be looked at.

Canter - The menu problems have been submitted to be fixed for the next service release. REF 17289

As far as the new Grid object features, yes, there are now some design time settings you can set. We have also changed a few actions here and there, and have added a couple new actions: "Grid.LoadFromFile" and "Grid.SaveToFile".

One more thing, I'm still waiting for answers after submitting 2 tickets.
Nothing that I can see in the system. Could be getting blocked or something. Try emailing support (at) indigorose.com directly.

    Adam.

    Hi,

I hope if IR is going PUBLIC, they would set aside some share quotas for us.

Great to see all of those bug fixes for rich text but it seems there are more fixes than features thus far.
I'll wait till the auto update is sorted out.

To Intrigued. Your bang on with the competitive nature of development solutions they are indeed popping up all around us these days.

    Cheers

Hopefully with the next update we can see more of those suggestions that have poured in.

It's getting pretty competitive out there in the development platform market. I just read that Microsoft is working with Nokia to get Silverlight onto the Symbian OS for their phones. I was stating that I would love to see that just about three weeks ago. I'm looking forward to creating apps. for my phone.

As far as AMS, I hope that we eventually could see some more Internet related updates, features added.

I still enjoy coding in AMS and would like to see more of those great suggestions we have posted over the years get added in. I dont' want I.R. to go public, but maybe it's time to "team up" to get more resources to be able to expand with the AMS (and other) products, more quickly.

Wishing all the best in 2008.

    Not much really.

At least can somebody tell me the difference between the DataGrid plugin and the Grid Object integrated into the new AMS (if there are any differences).

    For example,
    1) Can I now insert an icon into a grid cell? Yes or no.
    2) Can I use the Grid object together with the splitter framework I downloaded from this site. With the previous Datagrid plugin, there was a serious problem with the resize so it is not possible to simulate a .Net application.

I was really looking forward to this release. Seems my expectations were way too high which led to a big dissappointed, Basically I got zilch.

I have 283 days left on my subscription. Over the coming months I will need much from IR if they want me to renew my subscription.

The only differnce that I can see is that you can set more properties like fonts and clours at design time, which is good. I too was hoping for some new fEature like a On Row Double-click event.

    Hi,

I'm excited to download the latest update. My customer login password is invalid. Few hours ago, I tried to send reset password to my email, but that system is not working.

A ticket was sent few hours ago.

    Menu problem

Well, the menu problem crops up where the main category is initally disabled, but when enabled dynamically, some, but not all of the menu texts disappear. Problem is fixed by setting the text again, but this shouldn't have to be done since it is already embedded in the menu bar. But if anyone else has this problem, set it with something like
    tblMenu[2].SubMenu[3].SubMenu[1].Text = "the menu text";

So basically I would be better off going back to the previous version. I had expected a a lot more in the way of new features. There have been so many great suggestioins but none of them are being added. Still no new version of SQLite. now that would have better than menu icons. The datagrid is not new because it was available as a plugin and if you needed it, it was there. The menu icons feature is nice, but that's about it. I might use them in a new app but not in existing apps.

    Menu text disappearing

I managed to install the update after the uninstall - but in my project, menu text has disappeared in second 3rd level items that have sub items. There is just a blank space with an arrow to the right. It does drop down when clicked.

Feature: Added a new Grid object (including over 110 actions) allowing you to add spreadsheets, grids and list controls to your applications. This new object can be added to your project by choosing Object > Grid from the menu.
I was very disappointed to find that if you already used the datagrid plugin, the new version does not switch to using the builtin grid. One would have to make a lot of code changes to and delete and add the grids again to use to builtin one. When you have 50 or 60 datagrids, that is not an option. This means I still have to include the datagrid plugin when I build the app. In other words it is included twice.

Fix: Fixed a bug where the ComboBox.SetSelected action was not firing the "On Select" event.
This one which I don't consider a fix, is causing me major grieve in large apps. When a page loads I load data from a database. I have lots of comboboxes which have code in the On Select event that sets a variable to true to indicate that the user has made changes so that I can remind them to save the changes before closing. When loading the data I set the ComboBox.SetSelected action to set the value for each combobox based on the data from the database. Now this sets save reminder to true when the page loads, even though the user has not chnaged anything. Now I have to add extra code to 70 pages to work around this. Also it is not just a matter of setting the save reminder variable to false after the comboboxes are set because that does not work. I have to add an Application.Sleep() and then set the variable to false. Otherwise it has no effect. It seems that comboboxes are too slow and the page finishes loading before they are all set.

I don't believe that this was a bug to begin with. The On Select should only fire if the user selects an item, not when selecting the item via code. Just like you would not want the On Key event to fire when setting the text in an input via code.
