    Well you can't save anything to an actual button so you will have to use a text/ini file or database to save the file names associated with each button, then load each time you open the menu.

    Ini file would probably be easiest

    Code:
    [Menu1]
    Button1=pathandfilename
    Button2=pathandfilename
    Button3=pathandfilename
    Button4=pathandfilename
    Button5=pathandfilename

    Ok..

    I am sorry.. By (X) I mean close.

    I have a sound library.. The menu I am speaking of is one I am creating with 5 buttons. I want to be able to load samples from my library, ( what ever ones I choose, ) to those 5 buttons.

    AFTER I load those sounds to those 5 buttons.. I want to (X) close out of the menu, then whenever I re-open the menu at a later time, I want those 5 buttons to remember the sounds that I picked before I closed the menu.

    Attached is the start of the idea. You can use any wave sound.

    Thanks again guys!

    ...and what menu are you (X)ing out of...?

    Maybe if you post a small example someone can help - or maybe someone understands your question...

    best regards,
    It's not just you. None of it makes sense. Does (X) mean close? if it does then just write close, it's only 2 more key strokes. What's with the title? "How?" Come on., seriously, titles are meant to be description of what your post is about. Imagine if everyone titled their posts like that. When you browse through the list of posts, you are meant to be able to see what each one is about without having to open each one and read them.
