Not sure how you're loading your listbox, but the code below loads in seconds for me. Biggest thing is to set the ListBoxes SetUpdate to false, add your items, then set it back to true.

    Code:
    ListBox.SetUpdate("ListBox1", false)
    for N=1, 15000 do
    ListBox.AddItem("ListBox1", N, "")
    end
    ListBox.SetUpdate("ListBox1", true)

ok, I see that some things are not possible very important to me.

It is a pity. But it meets your needs is a good thing this plugin.

Wait a free version or upgrade IndigoRose AMS objects to make them load faster.

    ListBoxEx Sort, :
This one is in todo list

    Code:
[B]select FONT (size, style, etc) :[/B]
You can set font with ListBoxEx.SetDefaultFont() at runtime
For inital setup ,I am going to add Set font option to properties dialog in next versions

if you meant Set font on HTML drawing
this plugin uses a third party library to draw HTML text and this libray has limited features

i am going to use a different way to draw HTML text if i can success

this plugin will support more HTML tags and attributes ,
    especially main goal is <a href="appcommand">Click Here</a>

ListBoxEx not suport horizontal scrollbar??????????? (if the text to include is very long not is readed complete)
first this is a listbox , not a web page you should keep item text as short as possible
this plugin supports multiline text with word wrap ,this is better than horizontal scrollbar

    multiple seleccion
this is not a regular listbox and this plugin has a better multi select option than regular
it is: checkboxes also if you enable CheckListStyle this will make your listbox more user friendly
i think this is beter than just highlighting items

And de option for set icon, is very complicated, not is posible add in ListBoxEx.InsertItem one option for load icon (and others formats bmp, png, jpg, etc) or load icon from one file (*.exe, *.dll) with file get icon or file extract icon. This is more simple and good, not?
image list implemetion is not complicated , it is more filexible so :
we need to load icons before insert items if we will use icons

and also you can modify image list of this plugin at runtime whereas this is
not possible on most platform (add replace) also some other imagelist actions will be available soon

if we add icons during insert item
say a 32bit icon ~50KB and we will add 10.000 items to list
we need ~500 MB of memory (RAM) just for icons even if we used same icons
but if we add icons before and reference them during insert items
this will make a memory safe application and of course faster

load icon from one file (*.exe, *.dll) this is a good idea :yes

    row set size
this causes some internal problems ,
    Multicolumn
sorry but i do not think to add multicolumn support to this plugin
because this will make this plugin very limited

but i have some ideas about subitems ( items inside of an item)

    Images for suggestions:

    change row size

    http://img24.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dgdfgdf.png

    select FONT (size, style, etc)

    multiple seleccion

    SORT mode (alphabetical order)

    Multicolumn

ListBoxEx is much better than all the lists that includes the AMS (tree, listbox, grid) and to load more than 15,000 items in seconds. :yes

Those listed in the AMS takes over half an hour to include 15,000 items to the list!

    other suggestion:

ListBoxEx Sort, to sort the items alphabetically, but distinguishing uppercase and lowercase, example:

    Adra
    avira
    home
    Honop
    sone
    SONY

    etc
