Code Signing Problem

Please see the article The truth about SHA1, SHA-256 and Code Signing Certificates at the kSign web site. Your will find a download link ("download here") to the signtool 6.3 (from the Win 8.1 SDK). Decompress the contents into a new folder, point your Setup Factory to it. No need to register any file, it just works.

I tried reregistering the capicom.dll and now I get this error message upon Build:

The signer's certificate is not valid for signing.

Hi have Setup Factory 9 and needed to move it from my Win8 to new Win10 computer. All went well except the Code Signing. I copied the files signtool.exe, capicom.dll, and my .pfx file to the new computer and registered the capicom.dll. (version 2.1.0.2) When I select Publish/Build I get this message at the end. Any idea how to fix this. Thank you


SignTool Error: Signtool requires CAPICOM version 2.1.0.1 or higher. Please
copy the latest version of CAPICOM.dll into the directory that contains
SignTool.exe. If CAPICOM.dll exists, you may not have proper
permissions to install CAPICOM.
