  • The package is not a valid Win32 application

I have customer who confirmed they use Windows XP SP3 and they get this message with my installer.
the package is not a valid Win32 application.

I use the latest version of Setup Factory. Why is this customer getting this message?

I also have selected to use all OS systems which includes the Windows XP SP2 or higher according to the documents.

Do you digitally sign your installer? Then ask your customer to check if the signature is valid. The message suggests a corrupted or incomplete download...

Thanks Ulrich as i had a feeling it was something on his end because hundreds of others have no issues.

I added Windows XP Pro to virtualbox and tested myself and i too get the message this is not a valid 32 bit application. And this is SP3. So what now?

Solved. I am still new and i should select 32bit under platform so the installer will work for both 32bit and 64bit.
