  • Update runtime error in setup factory

    Hi all,

    I'm getting a runtime error when I try to update setup factory. I only have version 9.0.3.0 and thought I'd check for any updates as my users seem to be having problems with windows 10 and my vb6 programmes. Here's a graphic of what happens the minute I select "check for update" under the 'help' menu:

    Any help would be gratefully received.

    This error is shown when there is a version mismatch between the updater and the data file, usually caused by the antivirus who blocked the download of one of the files. You can fix this error by deleting update.exe and update.dat in "C:\ProgramData\IndigoRose\Setup Factory\9.0" and then reinstalling the product.

    Of course your version is not current if you are using release 9.0.3.0. As you can see in this forum, the latest release is 9.5.3.0.

    If you want to update to the latest release, log into the customer portal ( https://www.indigorose.com/customers/ ) to renew the product support and maintenance, and you will be able to download the latest version.

      Many thanks Ulrich,
      It turns out that I owned 9.5.1.0 so I did as you said, uninstalling 9.0.3.0 after deleting the files, and it's now very happy again!
