  • Visual Editor in 9.5?

    Hi All,
I created a test installer using the free download and now my company has purchased the product. However, the test version had a visual dialog editor that I can't seem to access in the newly bought system. In the trial version, you could re-start the installer and get access to install the visual component, but I've tried that and it doesn't work. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    John

I am not sure that I understood your question. Do you mean the editor for custom screens?

First, you would need to add a "Custom" screen to your set of dialogs (where you can add and remove dialogs as needed to fit your installer project).

Then, after double clicking the dialog you inserted, you can customize it, adding and sizing the controls as needed:

If this is not what you meant, please send us a screenshot if you have...

No, not a custom screen. When I was using the trial version, I would double-click on the dialog I wanted and a "visual" dialog editor would pop up. I could add buttons, check boxes, etc. It wasn't initially available - I had to run the install again and it gave me a list of possible things to install - including the visual dialog editor. I can't have imagined it, can I!?

Perhaps this was seen in a similar product from a different company...? Setup Factory does not have any user-selectable features in the evaluation or commercial installer packages.

Thanks, it must be something like that. I was trying out half a dozen products before settling on Setup Factory!
          Sorry for any confusion,
