playing GIF in Billboard

Hi,
I placed a gif file in the billboard and checked Auto-Start. I expect to see the gif's animation but the image is still. Am I missing anything?

The Billboard control can show single static images, or a slideshow of static images. It does not provide support for animated PNG or GIF images.

Curious, why does Setup Factory offer .gif and .png when I select an image for the billboard?

Because both image formats can be used to encode static (single frame) images, which are supported in the Billboard object.
