Readme file with setup.exe

Howdy,

Is there a way to add a file to the project so that it is included in the Package folder with the Setup.exe and installed into the app folder in the install?

I believe you are looking for the External tab. Please check the documentation for a description of the tab and see if this is what you want.

Yeah I found this and this seems to be what I want but doesn't do it automatically. Seems inadequate functionality here on the software. Why would you let me "include" a reference to a file but then make me "manually" put it on the media? I had to have a physical copy of the file to "add" the file to the project, so SetupFactory knows where it lives ... but now its my responsibility to manually copy the file to where the Setup.exe is generated?

Also would be nice to have it automatically put files in the SetupPackage folder that don't get copied during the install. Again the point of a setup builder is to remove manual steps of building an install.

Could you explain what you mean by "getting copied"? Copied to where?

From the "Local Folder" where the file was "added" from to the to the "Build setup file(s) to folder" where the setup.exe is placed.
