Pin to taskbar

Hi,

I would like to pin my installed application to the Win 7/8 toolbar automatically during the installation process.

Is it possible?

It is not officially supported by Microsoft. Pinning items to the taskbar should be done exclusively by the user, not by any application. Please see the note above the requirements table, on this page:

Note Applications cannot programmatically pin themselves to the taskbar. That functionality is reserved strictly for the user.

I understand, but I've seen that Chrome browser pin itself to the taskbar after install...

Yes, Chrome does it and Firefox started doing it before. And the were criticized because of that. Just because there are a few companies thinking that they are so cool that they just have to clutter their customer's computers, that does not mean that you should follow their bad example. Setup Factory tries to follow the rules and does not offer a built-in way to pin applications on the taskbar. You can find VBScript samples on the internet, but you shouldn't use them at all...

I found a vb script to pin items on the taskbar.. I'll upload in another post
