  • Kaspersky AV detects irsetup.exe as PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic.

    like the title says.

This is for SF9.5, we deployed our first installer based on this version of SF yesterday.

You may want to contact Kaspersky Labs about it.

Sorry, I cannot confirm this false positive. No AV engine with today's definition (7/22/2015) is flagging the irsetup.exe, as you can see here.

You may have indeed a problem on your build computer, or the false positive was already corrected.

      Hi Ulrich.

This was just something that was reported to us from our Japanese distributors. Could maybe be a signature issue on their Kaspersky AV (KAV), but they are very tech savvy, and I doubt they are running a very old version, and they repeated the finding on 2 computers. It warned first time, subsequent times it was ok (so maybe it learned, or was trained). It (KAV) might be doing its heuristic scanning looking for behaivoural markers. I don't know if any of their customers also reported it.
