If you need to communicate with a SQL database from your installer, you can use this ODBC Actions plugin. It is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit builds, and works perfectly with Setup Factory 9.
Once successfully connected to the database of your choice (which may be Firebird SQL, Microsoft Access, Oracle, Visual FoxPro, Sybase, SQL Server, or MySQL, just to name a few), you can perform any queries, like populating tables of a database you just installed in an earlier step in the installer.
