Hi,
it's pretty funny, because those ESRI shapefiles are in heavy use and kind of the "standard" in the GIS world. Without those DBF files... you're in trouble. To make things worse, you can't even write/create/update DBF files with EXCEL anymore. You can still download the FoxPro driver at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=14839 . It's even a Microsoft site !
Kind regards

as someone who used to make a living at foxplus (started dbaseII, then foxplus, fox/net ....)
I love seeing it still be used -- it was an awesome platform, crisp, fast... it's painful that MS dropped it -- considering all the thousand lines of code written & decades of vested time down the drain..

Visual FoxPro ODBC Driver
Dependency for the Visual Fox Pro ODBC Driver. This driver doesn't get installed anymore by Windows (Vista and up). It is required to read DBF-files included with ESRI shape files.Attached Files
