Here's another old skool voice comin' at ya. Still use AMS from time to time - sure comes in handy with a few clients. Mostly, I'm just doing the video production thing these days, and not so heavy on the Windows development side of things. I had always wished for a product with the power of AMS...

1) I use AutoPlay to deliver custom applications to my clients.
2) I create both front-ends for press kits as well as stand-alone applications
3) What I like most about AutoPlay is that it's really easy to make really powerful programs
4) What I like least about AutoPlay is that...

Thanks for watching... As editor, I do what the script and director say I should do. That being said, I realize this isn't a happy ending. Many great films don't have happy endings, though.

48 Hour Film Project
Just popping in to share my team's result from the 48 Hour Film Project which came to Savannah for the first time this year. It was a fun, albeit very tiring, experience.

Neither Drupal nor Joomla preclude you from writing your own code. They simply expedite production of content. Many folks beyond beginner status use both systems. Similarly, many major companies use one or the other to produce their corporate sites. Besides, the original question was whether there...

Hey Jack... I think you should make your sig graphic smaller. It leads to extra scrolling through threads where you make more than a single comment when it's huge like that.
Also, you may very well have intended to spell the word the way you did, but it's actually "graphic,"...

Hmmm.... I've actually never heard of a player that works like that. What brand is it? Some manufacturers just shouldn't be making DVD players....
I'm not sure why a disc of identical make wouldn't play when only part of the media is used. I would think the opposite would be more...

Late to the thread - been deep in projects down here...
TY media is really the best on both CD and DVD fronts. It's the most consistent I've found, and suffers the least from "disc stick," where multiple discs stick to one another in the original packaging. This is a big problem...Last edited by eric_darling; 12-04-2008, 02:38 PM.

Windows Explorer is not accessed in the AMS environment - it's able to be called by AMS, of course, but it's going to open in a Windows-built window outside of your interface:
Code:File.ExploreFolder(your_path_here, SW_SHOWNORMAL);

I think it's just easier to recognize that we're old, mate.
Nothing like a few years to add some clarity.
I love the role of forum elder, personally... "you know back when AMS 3 was new, I had to code uphill both ways..."...

That you have used code of mine is a surprise! I'm more the GUI guy, and less the coder, but I'm glad to have been of service.
I can't count how many times I've borrowed snippets of yours - surely a half-dozen or so by now...
I must admit - I use that little calculator...
