When I say polling I want to be able to grab the controls actions any time and even pipe the thought the onkey actions I have included the example what I did years ago but it's the same thing I am working with, but I have to use timers what create large problems.

Update on this, tho the timing is really bad on the timer but I am able to control the mouse and do left and right click, this only works single actions as the timer brakes the option to detect if it's been help so dragging and button been held don't work but it's able to do alot more then it used to...

I am trying to poll a controller what I need to poll the hole time, if I use a timer it's hard to time the action of the button been pressed and also this removed any way of detecting if the button is been helped down or multi use of the button, is there anyway to be able to detect the controller as...

Or I 100% agree, I would love to see AMS update and be native 64 and also x86 and arm support, I have been looking for other looks to replace AMS and sadly I haven't found one for a dev like myself, I don't start code first and this is not a good idea I know but I have learning problems what don't let...

Can't wait to see it, if AMS wasn't so dead I would of taken the challage with remaking my RPG engine what used AMS elements only, it even had controller support, but it's way two dead to even do it as a thought project A cos I no longer have any source lol so it would mean doing all that darn maths...

Ya deff if Microsoft go the way Mac as gone with disabling 32-bit but I don't think that's a problem any time soon XP is still used so Windows 7 and 10 will be in the wild for a long time yet
so software made in AMS still as a future, just before using AMS I did try wxlua but it didn't look nice...

There are many ways to deal with updates, you could create a core what will always handle the basics and then you load a config/dll/source file that is able to use all the basic functions, this will enable you to download the new source and tell the software to use this new source and you can even move...

Using plugins do bypass many of it's problems I agree, but for the single threaded and old lua it still is very out of date now, some of the basic things lua can do you have to hack in to AMS, it just needs a thread update and lua update and I would be happy.
I couldn't get my head around...
